The gPhone is an Android
Rumors about Google creating a gPhone have been around for quite awhile so it came as little surprise to me that today they announced the open handset alliance (http://www.openhandsetalliance.com) which is an open standard for phones that would allow developers to easily create applications for phones. I have briefly looked into mobile Java and Flash lite so next week when the SDK is released to the development community I will be taking a look at this standard as well. Phones that support this open platform will not be out until next year.
